How do I get the Windows taskbar back?

Right-click the menu bar and choose Quit Glassline, or use the button at the bottom of Glassline Settings. The taskbar comes back exactly as it was. If Glassline ever closes unexpectedly, it comes back on its own.

Glassline didn't start when I signed in.

Open Glassline from the Start menu or Search, then right-click the menu bar, choose Glassline Settings and turn on "Start Glassline when I sign in".

Search doesn't find some of my files.

Without extra software, Search uses the Windows search index, which skips some folders. Install Everything (free, from voidtools.com) and turn on "Search files with Everything" in Glassline Settings to find every file on your drives as you type.

The Windows key opens the old Start menu sometimes.

That happens while an app running as administrator is in front, such as Task Manager. Windows doesn't let other apps read the keyboard then. Click any other window and the Windows key opens Search again.

How do I set the weather location?

In Glassline Settings, under Weather, type a town and press Find, or press "Use my location". To hide the weather, choose Remove location.

How do I add an app to the dock?

Open the app, right-click its icon in the dock and choose Keep in Dock. To take it off, right-click it and choose Remove from Dock.

How do I uninstall Glassline?

Quit Glassline first, so the taskbar comes back, then uninstall it from Windows Settings, under Apps. If you uninstalled it while it was running and the taskbar stays hidden, turn off "Automatically hide the taskbar" in Windows Settings, under Personalization and Taskbar.
