Glassline
A menu bar, a dock and Search for Windows 11.
This desktop is live. Right-click the menu bar, or make the dock your own.
Magnification, window previews and stacks in the dock
Pinned apps and open windows, with a dot under the ones running and a count of unread notifications. Rest the pointer on a running app to see its windows, live. Drag icons into any order, drop in an app from Search to keep it, or a folder from File Explorer to open it as a stack.
Size, spacing, magnification and hiding are all yours to set, and any icon can wear a picture of your own.
The menu bar takes your app's colour
The menu bar takes the colour of the window under it, so the app seems to fill the screen. The dock slides away to give it the room, and comes back when you move to the bottom edge.

Search apps, files and settings from the Windows key
Search finds apps, files and settings, does sums, converts units and currencies, translates a phrase on your own PC, and hands anything else to the web. With Everything installed, every file on your drives shows up as you type. Press Ctrl and Space on a file, or Space in File Explorer, to see it large without opening its app.
Wi-Fi, sound and brightness in one panel
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, what's playing, brightness and sound in Control Center, each with a page of its own: pick an output, set the microphone, keep the PC awake. Switches for Do Not Disturb, dark mode, airplane mode and your hotspot sit underneath, with a Hardware page for the load and temperature of your PC. Your apps' tray icons wait here too: click a pin to keep one in the menu bar. The clock opens your notifications and your calendar, with the events of any calendar you subscribe to. Try it.
Hourly and weekly weather in the menu bar
The temperature sits next to your status icons, with a painted picture of the sky. Click it for what the next hours bring, the week ahead, and the humidity, wind, UV and sunrise.
Your taskbar is back when you quit
Right-click the menu bar and choose Quit Glassline. The taskbar and Start menu return exactly as they were. If Glassline ever closes unexpectedly, or you uninstall it, they come back on their own.
